April Employee of the Month: Joshua P.
At BOS, we believe our people are our greatest strength and every month, we take time to recognize team members who go above and beyond in their work. For April, we’re proud to celebrate Joshua P. as our Employee of the Month! Joshua has been a consistent example of what it means to lead with integrity, accountability, and heart. His attention to detail, customer-first mindset, and dedication to growth are just a few of the reasons he was chosen for this recognition.
What motivates you to go above and beyond in your work?
"I think when you recognize that the bank has made an investment in each of us it becomes our responsibility to ensure a return on that investment. I feel empowered to do what’s right for the bank and our customers. I’m allowed to take ownership of my duties, and at the end of the day, accountability. This mindset and culture motivate me to go above and beyond in my work. Empathizing with our customers and their unique situations is also a big motivator for me."
- Joshua P.
Joshua’s sense of purpose is clear in everything he does. His ability to see the bigger picture, both in how BOS supports its employees and in how we serve our customers makes him a valued member of the team.
Who was your biggest inspiration and mentor at BOS, and why?
"I credit most of my professional development at BOS to my managers. Each of them inspired me in different ways- but all of them gave me the space I needed to grow and always had an open door. Shout out to Murph M., Diana L., Chuck F. (retired), Sidney R., Kim C. (retired), Brian B., and Jason K. to name a few."
- Joshua P.
At BOS, mentorship is part of our culture and Joshua’s story is a great reminder of how meaningful it is to have leaders who are approachable, supportive, and committed to developing others.
What’s a goal you’re currently working toward?
"I am currently working toward the Certificated Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation. I have completed two of three prerequisite courses through Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School, and I hope to sit for the CTFA exam sometime next year. "
- Joshua P.
Joshua’s dedication to professional development is a reflection of his long-term vision and it’s just one more reason he’s such a valuable asset to the BOS team.
