This July, we are honored to shine a spotlight on someone whose name has become synonymous with trust, compassion, and dedication here at BOS, Sidney R., our Employee of the Month! Sidney’s journey with BOS spans over 25 years, a milestone that speaks volumes about her loyalty and love for what she does. 

Sidney started at BOS working in Lockbox for a couple of months before moving to Loan Servicing. There, she spent over a year mastering the technical side of the business. But it was when she stepped into the role of Personal Banker that she truly found her stride and she’s been thriving in that position ever since.


What Keeps Sidney Going?

With more than two decades of customer interactions behind her, Sidney continues to approach each day with heart and humility.
Her motivation comes from a place of empathy:

I remember that when people come to my desk, it’s because they need help. I try to put myself in their place or look at them like a family member and treat them the way I would want to be treated.

Grace Under Pressure

In a role that can involve tough conversations, Sidney is known for her calm, level-headed demeanor, even when things get tense.

I try not to meet people’s energy when they’re upset. I take the time to listen to what they have to say, be patient and understanding. And taking a deep breath and believe it or not, that really helps both of us.

The Best Part of BOS

Over the years, Sidney has seen a lot of changes, from technology upgrades to team expansions, but one thing that hasn’t changed is her passion for helping people. When asked what she loves most about working at BOS, her answer was instant:

Having an upset or distressed customer leave happy. That’s the best part.
