World Elder Abuse Awareness Seminar

Event Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 | 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join BOS and the Springfield, Illinois Police Department for an educational presentation about Elder Abuse designed for both elders and caregivers.

  • Types of scams and why they work
  • What to do once you've fallen victim to a scam
  • How to protect yourself and others

SIUE Cougar Career Closet Clothing Drive

For the entire month of June BOS is collecting new or gently used professional business attire for the SIUE Cougar Career Closet.

The Cougar Career Closet is operated solely on donations. All items donated to the closet are given to SIUE students free of charge for interviews, career fairs, networking events, and internship experiences. These items are theirs to keep as they begin building their professional wardrobe.

  • Button-Down Shirts
  • Blouses 
  • Dress Pants/Slacks
  • Skirts
  • Dresses
  • Ties
  • Belts
