August Employee of the Month: Dominique W.

This month, we’re honored to recognize Dominique W. as our August Employee of the Month, a team member whose work ethic, values, and commitment inspire everyone around her. Dominique doesn’t just go above and beyond, she redefines what it means to lead with purpose, act with integrity, and show up with consistency. Her approach to work is grounded in something deeper than motivation: it’s built on discipline and faith.

We asked Dominique a few questions to learn more about what drives her.

What do you enjoy most about your role at BOS?

One of my favorite aspects of my role is the ever-changing environment. No two days are the same, and that constantly challenges me to think quickly, solve problems, and come up with unique solutions for our customers and BOS. I really enjoy the opportunity to think creatively daily, not just to address immediate issues, but to continuously improve processes and make things more efficient.

What makes a great team player?

I believe a great team player is someone who shows a genuine willingness to get involved and puts in consistent dedication to excellence, not just for personal gain, but for the benefit of the entire team. It's about caring deeply about the outcome, being invested in shared goals, and doing your part to contribute, whether that's stepping up to take initiative or supporting others when needed. True teamwork means putting collective success over individual interests, and being reliable, engaged, and focused on helping the team thrive.

Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor at BOS, and why?

Two people have left a lasting mark on my journey at BOS, both professionally and personally. 

    

Murph has been a quiet but powerful influence behind the scenes. He believed in me long before I believed in myself. He inspired me to be more, to never waste time, and to always be learning. What inspires me most about him is his vulnerability. He doesn’t hide his mistakes, he owns them, learns from them, and uses them to help others grow. That kind of honesty and courage can truly change lives.

Bob Cockrell has remained a mentor, even after retirement. His wisdom continues to guide me. He always pushed me to think bigger, to stretch beyond what felt comfortable, and to be patient with the process.

     

He once told me, "You can't take over the world in a night.’ That simple reminder taught me that meaningful progress takes time, and real leadership means planting seeds, even when you may not see the fruit right away
