February Employee of the Month: Meet Michele S.

We are proud to recognize Michele S., AVP, Business Services Officer, as our February Employee of the Month. Michele has been a valued member of the BOS team for 14 years, and throughout that time she has built a reputation for being supportive, dependable, and always willing to help her coworkers succeed. Her dedication to teamwork and her positive attitude continues to make a meaningful impact on those around her.

Can you share a recent experience where you felt you made a positive impact?

I feel like the reason I was nominated, helping a new employee to the bank making sure she felt comfortable in her new role.

What is the best part of working at BOS for you?

The best part of working here is definitely the people I work with. We have a great team, everyone works together and helps each other when needed.

In your opinion, what makes a great team player?

In my opinion, a great team player is someone who communicates well, supports their coworkers, and is willing to step in and help when needed. They stay positive, do their part, and work toward the same goals as the rest of the team.

What advice would you give to someone starting in your role?

My advice would be to take the time to learn the job well, ask questions when you’re unsure, and don’t be afraid to rely on your team. Everyone starts somewhere, and being open to learning makes a big difference. Be respectful and treat people the way you would want to be treated.
